All components are perfectly attuned to one another in terms of design and performance perfectly - from planning to commission.

Inclined Feed Grate Furnace

Application: All bulky and uncut/uncrushed fuels (wet or dry), even with high ash contents or foreign matter contamination.

Capacity Range: 1,000 to 50,000 kW

Technologie: The LAMBION grate is a mechanical grate with an oil hydraulic drive. It consists of both fixed as well as mobile rows of grate bars, which are arranged alternately and overlap in a staircase shape. Driven by hydraulic cylinders the oscillating movement of the mobile grate rows, transports the combustion material towards the end of the grate.

The grate bars are fitted with air nozzles that are arranged horizontally to the direction of the feed motion. The nozzle diameters are designed to create an airside resistance, in order to achieve a uniform distribution of the combustion air across the respective grate surface.

The grate bars are made of a heat and abrasion-resistant special cast-iron. The combustion air that is blown into the combustion chamber through the grates is cooling the grate lining. The cooling effect is ensured even when the air is being preheated.

In order to optimally control the combustion process the grate is divided into zones, which can be moved at different speeds. The amount of oil supplied to the corresponding drive cylinders of the zone is being adjusted accordingly.

It is for the same reason that the supply of combustion air through the grate - the forced-draft – is also zoned. The amount of air to each zone can be controlled independently, so that each phase of the combustion process can be supplied with the precisely required combustion air proportion.

Secondary and tertiary air is being blown in via nozzle bars in order to improve the combustion process.

Ring Burner Furnace

Application: Fine and bulky fuels / dust up to 100%

Capacity Range: 1,000 to 5,000 kW

Technologie: The Ring Burner is a combination of the known LAMBION Blow-In, Underfeed and Feed Grate Furnace, enabling the simultaneous combustion of fuels with any variable, even highly fluctuating dust contents. The fuel is being fed into the combustion chamber with one or more screw conveyors. Through the specific arrangement of the combustion air the dusty fuel particles are burnt in the air stream, while coarse fuel components can burn on the grate downstream.

Traveling Grate Firing

Application: Coal and Lignite

Capacity Range: 1,500 to 35,000 kW

Technology: The fuel is supplied on to the grate system via feed shaft. The grate bars are arranged on pull chains in a scale-shaped succession. Several grate rows next to each other are forming the grate surface. The pull chains are guided in a continuous loop via two opposind pulleys, powered by the grate drive. The feed shaft is installed at the start of the grate. Right behind that the layer height controller determines the layer height of the fuel on the grate. Through the supply of primary and secondary air of the ignited fuel is completely combusted on the grate surface and the ash is automatically conveyed into the ash case.

Underfeed Furnace

Application: Dust-like to coarse-grained fuels from wood to coal with a low ash content

Capacity Range: 1,000 to 5,000 kW

Technology: Via a stoker screw the fuel is automatically fed into the combustion chamber from below. Complete combustion is achieved through the introduction of secondary air. Good control through an optimum balance of fuel and air supply. The ash removal is carried out via a discharge screw. The arrangement of multiple combustion units makes higher capacities possible.

Level Grate Firing

Application: Dry dust-like to coarse-grained fuels from wood to coal with a low ash content.

Capacity Range: 100 to 5,000 kW

Technology: The firing system is suitable for both automatic operations with pneumatic and/or mechanical fuel feed, as well as a purley manual operation. Cost-effectively the furnace can get directly installed into the flame tube of a hot water or steam boiler.
The installation of the grate system inside the direct flame tube gives a low-cost combustion system, which may find its use for a very uniform fuel.

Muffle Furnace

Application: Dust and shavings up to 2 mm particle size

Capacity Rane: 1,000 to 35,000 kW

Technology: The fuel is introduced into an annular combustion chamber through an external blowing device. This causes a helical flame developed, which in turn forces the flue gases to longer remain in the high temoerature zones. The combustion air is supplied via special vortex nozzles in mutliple steps. The device can be mounted horizontally or vertically and is well suited for installation on to existing combustion systems, for example, feed grate furnace, where large amounts of dust need to be co-fired. Depending on the application, the muffle allows for an uncooled or water-cooled design.
